Hidden away down the alley by the side of  Barclays Bank in Masham, behind The Cutting Room hairdressers you’ll find traditional gentlemen’s hairdressing at its best (go in the back door and follow the black panelling). You won’t see the rows of sinks, or shelves full of fancy (and stupidly expensive) “product” so beloved of posh salons in town, but what you will find is Dan Charles - and a damned good haircut. You’ll also find an intimate and relaxed atmosphere and will be welcomed with good conversation and banter with Dan and his other customers.

Although his modesty doesn’t permit him to admit it, Dan’s customers travel from all over Yorkshire to visit his little Barber Shop, which is all the recommendation needed.  So, gentlemen, the next time you’re near Masham do yourself and your hair a favour and visit one of the best barbers in the Dales.
